we have an Immediate Job Opportunity With Virtusa for SRE Site Reliability Engineer -Bangalore Location

Below is the Job Description

JD - Roles and Responsibilities

• Help with build and deployment of software in test and production environments
• Help with configuration management of the system in test and production environments
• Monitor various parameters of production systems and confirm that these parameters are within

the service level objectives expected

• Fix escalations arising from Support or our customers
• Participate in On-Call Support process and find opportunities to optimize this process
• Document "tribal" knowledge and build/improve our runbooks and procedure documents
• Develop tools and scripts to optimize or eliminate manual processes; improve overall system

reliability

• Conduct post-incident reviews
• Creation of dashboards to show the uptime of all our production systems
• Create service level indicators and objectives to measure our systems high availability

The candidates must possess the following attributes:

• Build and Release Engineering:
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Maven and Artifactory
• Hands-on experience building docker images and orchestration using Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience building and deploying traditional systems with WAR images on EC2

machines

• Hands-on experience building and deploying micro-services using ECS and Kubernetes
• Deployment and Monitoring:
• Knowledge about CI/CD processes and how they fit into the development cycle
• Hands-on deployment automation experience (Infrastructure as Code) with Terraform

and/or AWS CodePipeline. Aware of engineering best practices to write deployment

scripts (code reuse and maintainability)

• Hands-on knowledge on various AWS services - CloudFront, API Gateway, Certificate

Manager, EC2, ELB (Classic Load Balancers, Application Load Balancer, and Network Load

Balancer), RDS, SQS, SNS, SES, Apache, Tomcat, and managing security groups

• Monitoring best practices using Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch, Nagios
• Experience in Agile (Scrum) project methodologies
• Excellent communication skills
• Must have very strong capability to influence stakeholders about his/her solution
• Must have the humility to back out in the face objections or when better options exist
• Strong debugging skills
• Passion for DevOps practices implementation and customer success
